Your health, welfare, and safety are paramount when you ride with Rochester Shuttle Service. We understand how the news is dominated by the COVID-19 outbreak. So, we at RSS wanted to personally reach out to each and every one of you to assure you that we are working diligently to implement increased cleaning protocols in every one of our vehicles to keep you, our loyal customer, safe.
We are closely monitoring information given to us daily by the World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Minnesota Department of Health regarding the spread of the virus. Our focus is to ensure that we meet our client’s while doing our part to keep you and our communities safe.
At this time we are going to continue to operate, but at a reduced schedule. We understand that there are flights arriving and departing through the day. We are going to try to operate as many trips as possible, but please understand we may ask you to depart Rochester earlier than expected, or you may have to wait at MSP longer than anticipated.
Are we required to wear a face mask or shield during the ride?
The State of Minnesota has issued emergency declaration #20-81 requiring face masks or shields to be worn in all indoor public spaces. This includes our shuttle service. You can read the order here: Mask Order.
Due to this order, we are requiring a face mask or shield to be worn during the entire duration of the trip.

What are your business hours?
Our phones are answered 24/7. If the line is ringing please remain on the line and we will answer it as soon as we can. Online reservations can be made 24/7/365.
Are reservations required?
Advance reservations are required to guarantee service. Walk-ups at MSP are welcome pending seating availability.
What information should I have available before making a reservation?
*Flight information including; date, flight arrival/departure times, airline, and the flight number.
*Cell phone number (so we can contact you at the time of travel if necessary).
*Email address so we can send you an email confirmation.
*Credit card information.

What times do your shuttles depart?
See our Current Schedule. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are not running a full schedule. Please visit us often as we are continually updating our schedule.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Cash, Pre-Paid Tickets, Visa, Master-Card, Discover and American Express.
(Please note: Some debit cards will place an additional amount on hold in addition to fare. This fee will be refunded to you after the completion of the trip.)
What is your cancellation policy?
Twelve hours prior to your scheduled shuttle departure. Any refunds due will be processed within three business day of the cancellation date. Credit card refunds may take several days after we process the refund to post to your account. Cancellations less than 12 hours before your scheduled shuttle time will be turned into “open” reservations which can be used any time in the future.
How much time should I allow to catch my flight or shuttle?
When taking the shuttle from Rochester to MSP, we recommend taking a shuttle that will arrive at your terminal at least 2 hours prior to a domestic departure and 3 hours prior to an international departure. Trips taken with less time are done so at your own risk of missing the flight.
When taking a shuttle from MSP to Rochester, we recommend scheduling a shuttle that is at least 30 minutes after your flight arrival for domestic arrivals and 60 minutes for international arrivals.
How many pieces of luggage can I bring on the van?
We allow one piece of checked luggage, a carry-on, and a purse or briefcase per person. Any pieces over this are allowed at a charge $15 and is subject to space availability. Pet carriers, golf clubs, skis, etc. count as a piece of luggage. You should call ahead if you have questions or concerns about space availability. If you need to transport more luggage than allowed you may be asked to purchase additional seat(s) to guarantee space for your luggage, or book a private ride.
Do you provide car seats for children?
We do not provide car seats. You are welcome to bring your own car seat for use in our vans.
Do you allow pets on your vans?
We do allow dogs and cats as long as they are in a pet carrier. There is no additional charge for the pet carrier but it does count as one of your pieces of luggage (see above for our luggage policy). Large pet carriers are allowed subject to space availability. Please call ahead if you have a large pet carrier to verify that space is available. Service dogs are allowed on the van without a pet carrier.
Where do you pick up and drop off in Rochester?
We pick up and drop off at most Rochester hotels, St Mary’s Hospital, Methodist Hospital and various other locations. Click here to see a complete list of the pickup and drop-off locations we provide service to.
Do you offer home pickup/drop-off in Rochester?
We offer home pickup and drop-off within Rochester city limits. The fee is $10 for the service.
Med City Taxi, Rochester’s favorite taxi service, and Yellow Cab, Rochester’s oldest cab service will assist with home service to ensure we stay on schedule.
Are there any pickup locations where I can park my car in Rochester?
Microtel Inn & Suites at 4210 Hwy 52 North has parking available at a charge of $4 per day with a maximum of 14 days. Please register and pay at the front desk of the hotel prior to departure.
We also have very limited short-term parking at our Rochester Office. Please call and ask for a manager to assist you.
Where do you pickup at the Minneapolis Airport?
Terminal 1 (Lindbergh) – Our check-in counter is located in the ground transportation atrium.
1. From baggage claim 8, take the elevator or escalator down one floor to the tram level. Once you are on the tram level, walk straight ahead until you reach the circular airport information desk.
2. At the airport information desk, turn left, and walk about 50′ to the elevator or escalator.
3. Take the elevator or escalator up one floor to the ground transportation atrium.
4. Look for our check-in counter with the sign “Rochester Shuttle”.
5. Please check in with our agent at our check-in counter. If there is no one at our counter, please have a seat and our driver will check you in shortly before departure.
Terminal 2 (Humphrey)
When you are ready for pickup, go out door 6 of the terminal and cross the street to the Ground Transport Center. During inclement weather go up one floor and take the sky way across to the parking ramp then back town one floor to the Ground Transportation Center. Have a seat and watch for our van which is clearly marked “Rochester Shuttle Service” or “Star Transportation.” The shuttle should arrive shortly before your scheduled pickup time.
What happens if I miss the shuttle I was scheduled on?
If you miss the shuttle you were scheduled on, you may take the next shuttle with available seating at no extra charge. If you miss the last shuttle of the day, please contact us and we can reschedule you on one of our shuttles the next morning. Immediate transportation may be available, at your expense, via taxi, private van, and car rental.
Where do you pickup/drop-off at the Mall of America?
The Shuttle pickup/drop off area is the North Entrance Taxi and Shuttle area by the J.W. Marriott between Nordstrom’s and Sears. Click Here for a Google map to the pickup/drop off location.
Should I / can I tip the driver?
Please feel free to tip your driver for quality service. We would recommend an amount similar to what you tip other service industry workers (15%- 20%)
